When Your Inner Wantrepreneur Dies, An Entrepreneur is Born.

Reject the IG Gurus - Embrace The Real Journey

If you’re like me, you love the idea of being your own boss.

Since a young age, you’ve been dazzled by the world of money - and freedom. You wonder if you just had that “billion” dollar idea- how life could be so much easier.
You could pursue your dreams and hobbies - show all the people that doubted you in school, that you are better than them. You could prove your worth, finally to your parents. You could repay your friends who supported you. You could FINALLY earn the partner and social life, that you deserve, and that you see online.

So - what do you do? Like any other consumer - you are obligated to spend a large portion of your day on social media. Whether its LinkedIn, to get a job and living - or Instagram - to get dates and see what your friends are up to, every day you are exposed to the lifestyles of others - their dreams, ambitions, successes, and quotes - sometimes - halfway around the world.

Me - One Year Ago in the MAGIC City (Miami)

Andrew Tate - Iman Gadzhi - Tai Lopez - Patrick Bet David - the names themselves, don’t really matter. Each generation has its own “guru” - as a 29-year-old, I’ve seen many different “entrepreneur” influencers, come up - rise and fall - in the internet age. Some, too infamous or non-noble to mention here.
Like many of my fellow entrepreneurs, I’m a dreamer. And when I see something I want to do - I believe I can do that. You see these young guys hustling - on the jet, the boat, the bottles - and you believe, on some level - it is possible for you too. In your head, you are willing to do whatever it takes to be PBD, or Mark Cuban - and you might even see yourself, imagine yourself in that positon.

If you’re like some of the young impressionable, members of my DISCORD Group - you might have even forked over a few thousand dollars to one of these gurus - for their “niche” system, designed to get you popping bottles and networking with “exclusive” people just like them.

Maybe - like some of my ex-business associates, these influencers have thrown you some side attention - and now you have some followers, and you believe you can easily execute the AI automation, cookie-cutter template that is “so easy” to implement and can earn you $10k recurring MRR in the next month.
Whether you are sitting on your couch, dreaming about what is possible, or you are a “fan” of one of my competitors who is already in the cult - the truth remains the same.

You aren’t living the dream. You’re dreaming it.

And it’s time to wake up.

There is No Matrix

These days, I run a Discord - with my past marketing agencies - I have interacted with people all around the world - in totally different circumstances, than me.

Many of today’s most famous gurus - have some degree of “adversity” in their story - it is what makes them popular, and relatable, to a large segment of the world.

Unlike these people, I grew up pretty privileged. I went to a NYC-area private school, with parents firmly established in the financial world, and I easily scored near-perfect on my SATs, and went to a stellar Ivy League School (University of Pennsylvania) without honestly putting too much time into working, studying, or networking. I was already at that echelon.

My upbringing in NY

Although I was fortunate enough to be raised around people who had their “plans” figured out, I never felt good enough. You see, there were other people, with richer parents than mine - more stuff, more friends, more accolades - and I constantly compared myself to them.
I was an obsessive guy - but my obsessions weren’t doing much other than driving me to typical vices like drinking, online dating, games, and worse.
What Changed?
About 10 years ago - when I was 20 years old - I was introduced to entrepreneurship from Shark Tank and the show “Silicon Valley” - I turned my obsessions OUTWARD - through ingenuity, and creativity - I saw a way where I could actually use my differences to make MONEY.

The Wantrepeneur is Born

Most successful entrepreneurs have parents who were business people. I have learned this extensively throughout my podcast where I interview 3 people A DAY!
The rest of us - go through a wantrepreneur phase, usually sparked by some kind of media - that shows us, what our parents didn’t - that you can start and run a business, without ever becoming a W2 employee.
By the way - I’ve never been a W2 Employee. here you can see about $10k of weekly payroll - my W2 employees from my old agency. (more on that later)

But - before I got to the point where I was able to hire people, and support a luxurious lifestyle, about 8 years passed - of incredibly high emotional ups and downs, faith-testing, and pressure- that I can tell you, very few of you have been through.

I can tell you certainly - that I didn’t watch a youtube vid and make it overnight.

In fact - I’ve got no knocks on any “wise guys” that have blown up on social media and gotten to flexing.

The good life.

But these guys - aren’t entrepreneurs. They are entertainers, entertainers and course sellers that specialize on selling you the dream (of luxury) - without really ensuring you how to get there.

Don’t get me wrong - a lot of these guys are well-meaning - Luke Belmar, etc - and they would LOVE to see you rich.

If you pay them, buy all their courses, and subscribe to their way of life.

This guy definitely can help you!

But the facts - don’t lie, and are sometimes unfortunate.

Not only are most of these influencers flexing borrowed or stolen money (from you!) - but they often have zero idea of how to run ANY business - let alone, even their stripped down, zero-employee info-product business that mainly launders money into their expensive, and downright ostentatious, tastes.

You Aren’t Going to Be Rich

People talk a lot about the red pill, black pill this. How politics or society is keeping them down. This is a major selling point for ever manosphere creator.

But the real pill you need to take is the one you fear most.

You probably will now be rich.

There. I said it. If you are like most of the human beings on this planet, you have some great things to offer - but overall, you’re not that much more special than anyone else.

And the likelihood that you “flipping” a few rental properties or selling copywriting online is going to bring you to the point where you never have to worry about money again - is slim to none.

Whether you are becoming an Indian doctor, a “top notch closer” or online business owner.

The first step to killing the wantrepreneur is accepting this truth.

Until you do this, you have NO HOPE of being successful at your entrepreneurial endeavors.

The Real Entrepreneur

I have talked to 1000s of real business owners, at depth, around the world over the last 10 years. People who have built incredible things, and who feed their families. There is a lot of honor in being an entrepreneur.

There are a LOT of real, accomplished business people out there - who have overcome tremendous odds. They attend our network’s daily meetings - and interact with people from whom they have NOTHING to gain. They love to give back, to younger entrepreneurs.

Most of them - haven’t EVER bought a course - or got you into their info product funnel on X. I’m not saying that’s bad (I do the same thing) - but it is just different, then entrepreneurship. IT’s marketing.

You know what some of the things are - that they don’t do?

  • Post “thirst-traps” in their leased rolls-royce

  • Go out to fancy restaurants, multiple times a week

  • Post-travel vlogs

  • Share with your their expensive/pretentious joe-rogan esque health habits.

  • Post about the merits of religion/hard-work/sobriety/sacrifice - but show the opposite

  • smoke cigars on boats

  • Beg for comments/shares

I’m not saying these things are bad (I do, and share, a lot of them) but these are not the daily activities of an entrepreneur. They are the daily activities of an influencer.
Most business owners couldn’t be bothered to post their own photos let alone manage the logistics of traveling to fancy restaurants, boats, and “wellness” gyms all the time.
Beyond the obligatory “Macbook” Instagram story - one of the things you almost never see online is people working. And when you do see it, its because they want you to see it.

So do me a favor NOW - and decide for me. Are you willing to

  • not sleep for nights at a time

  • potentially work hard for years, and lose all of your money in a single bad decision?

  • watch your employees go out and have fun, while you can’t pay yourself?

  • lose all of your clients/customers- and have to start at ground zero?

  • potentially pay someone to build something for you - and have them walk away?

  • have your industry, or whole competitive landscape change and take away all your best talent as they search for greener pastures?

If you are willing to do these things, you can be an entrepreneur - and I’d love to work with you.
If you want to rent a boat or have models next month at “$10k MRR” - you should probably study how to get the right angle on your gym photos!
